AVECC is a long-term plan with clear phases, milestones and momentum. Here’s how we move from pilot projects in Rochdale to a fully embedded, region-wide model for excellence across Atom Valley.

Phase 1 (2024–25) - Launch and learn

Launch AVECC in Rochdale with early pilot programmes and first cohorts.
Establish core infrastructure, systems and partnerships.
Test, refine and prove what works.

Phase 2 (2025–26) - Build and deepen

Move from pilots to year-round delivery.
Strengthen partnerships with schools and colleges.
Begin aligning programmes with future skills and regional economic priorities.

Phase 3 (2026–28) - Scale in Rochdale

Expand provision across more schools and broader year groups.
Embed industry-aligned pathways within our academic offer.
Grow capacity to support more high-potential students, consistently.

Phase 4 (2027–29) - Prove and share

Undertake formal evaluation of impact and outcomes.
Publish a scalable blueprint for others to adopt and adapt.
Deepen alumni, university and industry links to support progression and mentoring

Phase 5 (2029–30+) - Embed and replicate

Replicate the AVECC model across the wider Atom Valley region.
Secure long-term, stable funding and governance.
Fully embed a culture of academic excellence and support the ambition of young people across partner communities.
